Seedlings Book Angel Program–Ready for 2013!

Seedlings has opened its Book Angel program for 2013!  As explained on their Web site,

This program was originally called “Anna’s Book Angel Project” and was named in memory  of our Director’s 19-year-old daughter who was killed by a drunk driver in 2001. Each year, blind children who were registered received one free book in Anna’s name, but now we want to do even more. Thanks to Seedlings’ generous donors, blind children in the U.S. and Canada can receive two free braille books per year!

We have been participating in the Book Angel program since we first learned of Peanut’s vision problems; with their help, we were able to introduce Peanut to braille from the very beginning.  This is a great way to build your child’s braille library with books that you can share.
