KSSB 2013 Fall Family Resource Weekend
SAVE THE DATE
The 2013 Fall Family Resource Weekend presented by the Kansas State School for the Blind is for Parents, Adult Family Members, Professionals, and Service Providers of blind & visually impaired children from birth to age 21, as well as children and siblings. Gather together with other families to fill your minds with knowledge and resources regarding visual impairment and blindness. Fill your hearts with friendship and fun. Network with other families, professionals, vendors, and consumer groups to obtain personal and professional support.
Friday, November 22, activities will be scheduled for parents who have children at all learning and skill levels. Separate activities will be provided for children and siblings. The evening will conclude with a joint ice cream social.
Saturday, November 23, from 8:30-11:00am panel members will provide information and lively discussion for the following age and skill levels: Children birth to five, elementary, academic and life skills grades 1-8, high school, transition to post-secondary education, high school, life skills and vocational transition. From 11:00am to 12:00pm, activities TBA. Lunch and wrap up 12:00-1:00pm. Child care will be provided during all sessions.
